Colossians 2:1-23

2  Θέλω I am willingγὰρ forὑμᾶς YOUεἰδέναι to have knownἡλίκον how greatἀγῶνα struggleἔχω I am havingὑπὲρ overὑμῶν YOUκαὶ andτῶν of the (ones)ἐν inΛαοδικίᾳ Laodiceaκαὶ andὅσοι as many asοὐχ notἑόρακαν have seenτὸ theπρόσωπόν faceμου of meἐν inσαρκί, flesh, 2  ἵνα in order thatπαρακληθῶσιν might be comfortedαἱ theκαρδίαι heartsαὐτῶν, of them,συνβιβασθέντες having been made to go togetherἐν inἀγάπῃ loveκαὶ andεἰς intoπᾶν allπλοῦτος richesτῆς of theπληροφορίας fully being borneτῆς of theσυνέσεως, comprehension,εἰς intoἐπίγνωσιν accurate knowledgeτοῦ of theμυστηρίου mysteryτοῦ of theθεοῦ, God,Χριστοῦ, of Christ, 3  ἐν inwhomεἰσὶν areπάντες allοἱ theθησαυροὶ treasuresτῆς of theσοφίας wisdomκαὶ andγνώσεως of knowledgeἀπόκρυφοι. hidden away (ones). 4  Τοῦτο Thisλέγω I am sayingἵνα in order thatμηδεὶς no oneὑμᾶς YOUπαραλογίζηται may be deludingἐν inπιθανολογίᾳ. persuasive saying. 5  εἰ Ifγὰρ forκαὶ evenτῇ to theσαρκὶ fleshἄπειμι, I am absent,ἀλλὰ butτῷ to theπνεύματι spiritσὺν together withὑμῖν YOUεἰμί, I am,χαίρων rejoicingκαὶ andβλέπων seeingὑμῶν of YOUτὴν theτάξιν line-upκαὶ andτὸ theστερέωμα firmnessτῆς of theεἰς intoΧριστὸν Christπίστεως faithὑμῶν. of YOU. 6  Ὡς Asοὖν thereforeπαρελάβετε YOU received alongsideτὸν theχριστὸν ChristἸησοῦν Jesusτὸν theκύριον, Lord,ἐν inαὐτῷ himπεριπατεῖτε, be YOU walking, 7  ἐρριζωμένοι having been rootedκαὶ andἐποικοδομούμενοι being built uponἐν inαὐτῷ himκαὶ andβεβαιούμενοι being stabilizedτῇ in theπίστει faithκαθὼς according asἐδιδάχθητε, YOU were taught,περισσεύοντες aboundingἐν inαὐτῇ itἐν inεὐχαριστίᾳ. thanksgiving. 8  Βλέπετε Be YOU looking atμή notτις someoneὑμᾶς YOUἔσται will bethe (one)συλαγωγῶν leading as bootyδιὰ throughτῆς theφιλοσοφίας philosophyκαὶ andκενῆς emptyἀπάτης seductionκατὰ according toτὴν theπαράδοσιν traditionτῶν of theἀνθρώπων, men,κατὰ according toτὰ theστοιχεῖα elementary thingsτοῦ of theκόσμου worldκαὶ andοὐ notκατὰ according toΧριστόν· Christ; 9  ὅτι becauseἐν inαὐτῷ himκατοικεῖ is dwelling downπᾶν allτὸ theπλήρωμα fullnessτῆς of theθεότητος divinityσωματικῶς, bodily, 10  καὶ andἐστὲ YOU areἐν inαὐτῷ himπεπληρωμένοι, (ones) having been filled,ὅς whoἐστιν istheκεφαλὴ headπάσης of allἀρχῆς governmentκαὶ andἐξουσίας, of authority, 11  ἐν inwhomκαὶ alsoπεριετμήθητε YOU were circumcisedπεριτομῇ to circumcisionἀχειροποιήτῳ not done by handἐν inτῇ theἀπεκδύσει stripping offτοῦ of theσώματος bodyτῆς of theσαρκός, flesh,ἐν inτῇ theπεριτομῇ circumcisionτοῦ of theχριστοῦ, Christ, 12  συνταφέντες having been jointly buriedαὐτῷ to himἐν inτῷ theβαπτίσματι, baptism,ἐν inwhomκαὶ alsoσυνηγέρθητε YOU were jointly raised upδιὰ throughτῆς theπίστεως faithτῆς of theἐνεργείας operation withinτοῦ of theθεοῦ Godτοῦ the (one)ἐγείραντος having raised upαὐτὸν himἐκ out ofνεκρῶν. dead (ones). 13  καὶ Andὑμᾶς YOUνεκροὺς dead (ones)ὄντας beingτοῖς to theπαραπτώμασιν falls besideκαὶ andτῇ to theἀκροβυστίᾳ uncircumcisionτῆς of theσαρκὸς fleshὑμῶν, of YOU,συνεζωοποίησεν he made alive togetherὑμᾶς YOUσὺν together withαὐτῷ· him;χαρισάμενος having graciously forgivenἡμῖν to usπάντα allτὰ theπαραπτώματα, falls beside, 14  ἐξαλείψας having wiped outτὸ theκαθ’ down onἡμῶν usχειρόγραφον handwritingτοῖς to theδόγμασιν decreeswhichἦν wasὑπεναντίον under-in-againstἡμῖν, to us,καὶ andαὐτὸ itἦρκεν he has lifted upἐκ out ofτοῦ theμέσου middleπροσηλώσας having nailed towardαὐτὸ itτῷ to theσταυρῷ· stake; 15  ἀπεκδυσάμενος having stripped offτὰς theἀρχὰς governmentsκαὶ andτὰς theἐξουσίας authoritiesἐδειγμάτισεν he made show ofἐν inπαρρησίᾳ outspokennessθριαμβεύσας having triumphed overαὐτοὺς themἐν inαὐτῷ. it. 16  Μὴ Notοὖν thereforeτις anyoneὑμᾶς YOUκρινέτω let him be judgingἐν inβρώσει eatingκαὶ andἐν inπόσει drinkingorἐν inμέρει partἑορτῆς of festivalorνεομηνίας of new moonorσαββάτων, of sabbaths, 17  which (things)ἐστιν isσκιὰ shadowτῶν of the (things)μελλόντων, being about to,τὸ theδὲ butσῶμα bodyτοῦ of theχριστοῦ. Christ. 18  μηδεὶς No oneὑμᾶς YOUκαταβραβευέτω let him be depriving of prizeθέλων willingἐν inταπεινοφροσύνῃ lowly-mindednessκαὶ andθρησκείᾳ form of worshipτῶν of theἀγγέλων, angels,which (things)ἑόρακεν he has seenἐμβατεύων, stepping into,εἰκῇ in vainφυσιούμενος being puffed upὑπὸ byτοῦ theνοὸς mindτῆς of theσαρκὸς fleshαὐτοῦ, of him, 19  καὶ andοὐ notκρατῶν holding fastτὴν theκεφαλήν, head,ἐξ out ofοὗ whomπᾶν allτὸ theσῶμα bodyδιὰ throughτῶν theἁφῶν connectionsκαὶ andσυνδέσμων bonds togetherἐπιχορηγούμενον (it) being suppliedκαὶ andσυνβιβαζόμενον (it) being made to go togetherαὔξει is growingτὴν theαὔξησιν growthτοῦ of theθεοῦ. God. 20  Εἰ Ifἀπεθάνετε YOU diedσὺν together withΧριστῷ Christἀπὸ fromτῶν theστοιχείων elementary thingsτοῦ of theκόσμου, world,τί whyὡς asζῶντες livingἐν inκόσμῳ worldδογματίζεσθε are YOU subjecting selves to decrees 21  Μὴ Notἅψῃ you should touchμηδὲ not-butγεύσῃ you should tasteμηδὲ not-butθίγῃς, you should contact, 22  which (things)ἐστιν isπάντα all (things)εἰς intoφθορὰν corruptionτῇ to theἀποχρήσει, using off,κατὰ according toτὰ theἐντάλματα commandsκαὶ andδιδασκαλίας teachingsτῶν of theἀνθρώπων; men? 23  ἅτινά Which (things)ἐστιν isλόγον wordμὲν indeedἔχοντα havingσοφίας of wisdomἐν inἐθελοθρησκίᾳ self-willed form of worshipκαὶ andταπεινοφροσύνῃ lowly-mindednessκαὶ andἀφειδίᾳ unsparingσώματος, of body,οὐκ notἐν inτιμῇ honorτινὶ anyπρὸς towardπλησμονὴν fullnessτῆς of theσαρκός. flesh.
